Ranked among the top 200 universities in the world for civil and structural engineering, as well as architecture, the Iranian University of Tehran is particularly strong in a number of STEM subjects as indicated by its performance in the subject rankings. Dating back to the Qajar Dynasty, the University of Tehran is one of the oldest Iranian universities, although it was officially founded in 1934.
