Postgraduate programs at Universidade Estadual de Feira de Santana are accredited by the Brazilian Ministry of Education. Around 90% of students are granted scholarships from the Ministry of Education as well as from other funding agencies. Masters and doctorate level programs are usually completed in 2 and 4 years, respectively. Foreign students are welcome to apply for admission and are eligible for scholarships. There is no charge for fees and tuitions, since the university is a public institution completely funded by goverment budget. Courses are taught in Portuguese. The university has currently graduate students from Cuba, Chile, Bolivia, Mozambique, Mexico and United States.
