Originally founded by the Dominican Order of the Catholic Church, today the university offers teaching across close to a dozen faculties, including medicine, engineering and architecture.

Lima will also host the 2019 Pan American Games, a major international multi-sport event. Sports lovers will also be interested to learn the university has a professional football team.

Chiclayo may be a less well-known study destination but it is in fact Peru’s fourth-largest city, with a population of nearly 750,000. The city has a rich cultural history and is the home of ancient royal tombs, museums and more
