Based primarily in the Colombian city of Pasto, the University of Nariño has just under 10,000 students enrolled. There are three campuses within Pasto itself, as well as several satellite campuses in nearby cities. The university is comprised of the following faculties:

Pasto, officially titled as San Juan de Pasto, is home to approximately half a million people. Located 8,290 feet above sea level, the city is to the south of Colombia and close to the border with Ecuador. It takes its name from the Pastos, the indigenous people who lived in the region when Spanish settlers first arrived.

Students here can expect a colder climate than you might expect for somewhere so close to the equator; this is largely due to the city’s high altitude. Average high temperatures typically range between 15°C and 18°C while
