Pancasila University was established in 1966, a merger of the University of Pancasila and the University of Bung Karno.
It has a deep meaning that is essential, according to its mission statement, University of Pancasila, namely “Provide a positive role in the development of science and technology, as well as Pancasila community which are aspired in the Preamble to the Constitution of 1945”
In this framework, University of Pancasila intends and has determination to produce graduates with the spirit of Pancasila, have values and attitudes, knowledge, intelligence, skills and ability to communicate, and ecological awareness for the development of fields of law, economics and ecology to support development.
In running the academic life, during the early stage a land with the area of 10,160 m2 and building / building area of 5,196 m2 was provided in Jl. Borobudur No. 7 Central Jakarta. These land and buildings were grants from the Government through the Ministry of Finance to Education Foundation and Trustees, University of Pancasila which was signed on April 21, 1987. In addition, in 1985, Pancasila University loaned building on Jl. Garuda Kemayoran, Central Jakarta for the activities of the Faculty of Economics.
