Ranked among the top 300 universities in emerging Europe and central Asia in the 2018 QS World University Rankings by Region, Orenburg State University was established in 1955. Home to more than 14,000 undergraduates, the university is the largest institute of higher education in the region. Students here benefit from a series of international partnerships with institutions in other countries, including Finland, France, Germany, Japan, USA and Kazakhstan. International students will need to meet visa requirements by submitting an application to the Russian embassy or consulate in their home country, along with an official invitation from the university. This invitation will be issued after the applicant has successfully passed any entry examinations and been enrolled in a degree program. In order to visit for entrance examinations, international students will require a tourist entry visa. After being accepted by the university, it’s possible to apply for a room in a student dormitory.
