North-Caucasus Federal University was founded in August 2012 as a merge of the three largest regional educational institutions: North-Caucasus State Technical University, Stavropol State University, and Pyatigorsk State Humanitarian-Technological University.NCFU has become the regional scientific, educational, and innovation centre, preparing highly qualified professionals and thus facilitating socio-economic progress all over the North-Caucasus Federal District.The University teaching staff consists of over 2,000 professors, many of them holding high academic titles and training competent professionals to be further employed in numerous sectors of the global economy. The student body counts 35,000 youngsters majoring in 221 specialties.Branches of NCFU are located in Nevinnomyssk and Pyatigorsk.
