The Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences (MBRU) is Dubai Healthcare City’s first medical university.  At the moment, the University is composed of two Colleges: The Hamdan Bin Mohammed College of Dental Medicine (HBMCDM) and the College of Medicine (COM).  HBMCDM was the first college to be established at MBRU; this college offers a number of specialty dental postgraduate programs.  The second college of the University is the COM which offers a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) program.

MBRU strives to become a global hub for innovative and integrated healthcare education and research in service of humanity.  MBRU’s mission is to advance health in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and the region through an innovative and integrated academic health system, that is nationally responsive and globally connected, serving individuals and communities.  Queen’s University Belfast is MBRU’s international academic partner.

MBRU created an innovative strategy called the 411 Strategy.  As a tribute to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, the strategy consists of six pillars: Education, Research, Sustainability, Community Engagement, Governance, and Emiratization.  The 411 Strategy serves as the driving force that enables MBRU to achieve its vision.
