A higher education institution located in Medellín, Colombia, Instituto Tecnológico Metropolitano (ITM) can trace its origins back to 1944. The university is spread across five different campuses as well as a research park where groups can share research knowledge and resources. 

The university consists of 28 undergraduate and 12 postgraduate programs, spread across four faculties: Arts and Humanities; Economic and Administrative Sciences; Exact and Applied Sciences; and Engineering.

Medellín is the second-largest city in the country with a population of nearly 2.5 million. Students based here will experience a city that’s been shaped over the years by various immigrant groups, although the region also has its own distinctive Paisa culture. Features of this include a Spanish, Catholic heritage and a focus on entrepreneurial ability and hospitality. The city also hosts several festivals and major events throughout the year.
