Located on a 70-acre campus in beautiful, northern Bogotá, the Escuela Colombiana de Ingeniería Julio Garavito has approximately 4,600 students in undergraduate and graduate programs.
The first established program at the private engineering-based university was Civil Engineering, followed by Computer Science Engineering.
By the time the school had earned its place as one of the most prestigious Colombian higher education institutions, Industrial Engineering, Electronics Engineering and Economics programs were added.
In 2002, business administration was added, mathematic in 2003, mechanical engineering in 2009, biomedical engineering in 2011, and environmental engineering in 2016.
Specializations in graduate programs include: Project Management and Development; Design, Construction and Conservation of Highways; Structures; Hydraulic Resources and the Environment; Environmental Sanitation; Economics for Engineers; Telecommunications and e-business.
