Located in Saen Suk, Chonburi, Thailand, Burapha University is a public university with nearly 50,000 students enrolled on its programs across undergraduate, postgraduate and PhD level. Established in 1955, the university is split across three campuses: Chonburi, Chanthaburi and Sakaeo. Since 2016, the university has been administered by the Thai government.
While the university may not be as well-known as other institutions in the country based in the capital city Bangkok, it still attracts a significant number of students. This is thought to be largely due to its proximity to Bangsaen, a resort destination popular with Thai tourists. Unlike other parts of the country, foreign tourists are rarely seen here in large numbers, ensuring students experience a more authentically Thai environment than they may experience elsewhere.
Notable features of the university include its Institute of Marine Science, which houses an extremely popular aquarium, the Library Center, the Academic Services
