Founded in 1957, Assiut University has two campuses near Assiut and the New Valley.  The non-profit institution Assiut University offers bachelor’s degrees, distance learning, certificates, master’s degrees, PhDs and associate degrees in a range of subjects. International students are welcome to apply to postgraduate courses, provided they obtain approval from the ministry of higher education and run their undergraduate qualification by the Egyptian Supreme Council of Universities first.
